Applications open for the KSJ@MIT/Kavli editing workshop in Texas

A workshop for science editors, funded by the Los Angeles-based Kavli Foundation and organised by The Knight Science Journalism program at MIT will bring together two dozen journalists to explore the challenges, ethics, and opportunities in editing outstanding science stories, with a special focus on online presentation.

The meeting will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 11-12, 2018, in Austin, immediately preceding the Online News Association’s annual conference. Some of the best science and digital editors in the country will provide training and networking to editors across a range of publications.

Participants should expect to workshop story ideas, learn about fact-checking processes, discuss the reliability of sources, and learn strategies for building audiences.

You are invited to fill the online application form before the deadline of May 10. Selected applicants will be notified by May 24.

All other relevant info are available on the website of the Knight Science Joiurnalism program at the MIT.
